An airplane with the banner “White Lives Matter Burnley“Flew over Etihad Stadium on Monday evening. Burnley fan Jake Hepple was involved in this campaign together with his girlfriend Megan Rambadt.

The slogan is also on the jerseys of all Premier League teams and replaces the player names. At first, it was not known who organized the plane and the banner.

Burnley explicitly condemned the action during the game. “We want to make it clear that these people are not welcome with us. This is in no way what the Burnley Football Club stands for, and we will work closely with the authorities to identify those responsible and issue lifelong bans, ”the club said in a statement.
