We are ready for new elections, but before that we will do everything possible to prevent such a development. This was stated in Yambol by Lena Borislavova, head of the political cabinet of Prime Minister Kiril Petkov.
Together with the Deputy Speaker of Parliament and MP from Yambol Miroslav Ivanov, she attended the opening of a new party office of “We continue the change”.
“There must be a functioning National Assembly, which will adopt those 22 laws that will guarantee BGN 13 billion to go to Bulgarian households and businesses,” Borislavova stressed.
According to her, the current situation in the parliament is a scenario aimed at destabilizing the government. According to her, at this stage the efforts of the cabinet are not concentrated in the search for deputies of the ministers who left the coalition from the party “There is such a people” (ITN), but in the direction of adopting the budget update and legislative changes.
“We rely on our colleagues, who will place personal responsibility for the people who voted for them over party affiliation. We are convinced that there are such people in the National Assembly and they are ready to work with us. However, we are talking about 7 million citizens who rely on this budget in conditions of inflation, energy crisis and crisis with fuel prices, “said Borislavova.
According to the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Miroslav Ivanov, the texts of the budget are in themselves a sufficient argument “for every Member of Parliament with common sense to support them”.
According to him, unfortunately, GERB, MRF, ITN and Vazrazhdane are expected to make populist proposals in the vote on the update, which will put the government in front of a choice whether to break or preserve the country’s financial stability.
