Former English football champion Leicester City is still on course for the Champions League in the Premier League.
On matchday 24, the team of team manager Brendon Rodgers won 4: 1 (2: 0) against West Ham United and is still in third place with 45 points behind Champions League winner Liverpool (64) and Master Manchester City (51).
Tottenham Hotspur led by team manager Jose Mourinho celebrated a 2-1 (1-0) win against promoted Norwich City coached by Daniel Farke. The Londoners climbed to sixth place in the table and with 34 points keep in touch with the international places. Record champions Manchester United, however, suffered a 0-2 (0-1) loss to Burnley FC. The Red Devils are also fifth with 34 points.
At Tottenham, French world champion Hugo Lloris was surprisingly back in the starting line-up after a three-month injury break. Mourinho announced last week that the 33-year-old would only be deployed in February. For Tottenham, England international Dele Alli (38th) took the lead. Former Schalke Teemu Pukki equalized with a penalty (70th) before Heung-Min Son scored with a header (80th).
In the 24th minute, Leicester’s Ricardo Pereira crossed the line on Harvey Barnes, who only had to push the ball over the line. The submitter increased before the break (45. + 5) for the Foxes. Mark Noble scored the connecting goal with a penalty (49.), Ayoze Perez made the decision with two goals (81./88.).
