Bournemouth has one of the last straws on conservation. Thanks to an unlikely turnaround after half-time, it defeated Leicester 4-1. Youri Tielemans and Dennis Praet were on the sinking ship.
Up to minute 63, a ticket to The Championship seemed to be ready for Bournemouth, but Leicester played with fire despite Jamie Vardy’s 0-1 – after a blunder at Bournemouth.
Goalkeeper Schmeichel ushered in Leicester’s breakdown with a bad kick. Stanislas was allowed to equalize from the spot and a minute later it was already 1-2 and Leicester had already been reduced to 10 players.
And Leicester, with basic player Tielemans and substitute Praet, then had to empty the chalice to the bottom. In the final phase it was still 4-1 after an own goal by Evans and the second goal by Solanke, his first goals this season in the Premier League.
Bournemouth can still dream of an extended stay in the Premier League. Leicester should start to fear his place in the top 4.
This Schmeichel blunder marks the turning point
