Legal war between Miguel Bosé and the former partner for the paternity of the four children

20 October 2020 10:02

Two twins live in Mexico with the singer, the other two remained in Spain with Nacho Palau, who would like to reunite them

“Children need each other, all this makes no sense,” Palau said in an interview a few days ago, lamenting the separation of the children. And yesterday, on the eve of the trial, he posted a photo on his Instagram profile very touching that dates back to this summer, when the children first reunited after two years away: Tadeo, Diego, Ivo and Telmo, who are now nine years old, they walk together down a country road embracing. ‘Brothers forever’, Palau’s comment.

In the process the sculptor will have to prove that he was Bosé’s companion for almost thirty years – even if their relationship has never been formalized with a marriage or a declaration of being a de facto couple – and that the four children are the fruit of their desire to form a family. The little ones – all born in 2011 only seven months apart – although they are not blood brothers have grown up as such since birth. Reason for which the sculptor asks to share the care of all of them, together, as it happened before the break with Bosé. And that, above all, they have the same rights.

Now the court will have to determine paternity, whether the children were conceived as a family project and what their place of residence should be. Decisions not easy for judges given the legislative vacuum of family law (in Spain surrogacy is not provided for by the law) and given the lack of judicial precedents in the matter. The singer has always been very jealous of his private sphere to the point that his relationship with Palau only became public when he broke up. He too was present at the hearing today, but away from the cameras: he preferred to enter the parking lot so as not to be seen. “I trust in justice,” Palau said instead to reporters leaving the courthouse.
