For now, they are the only two concrete elements, together with the examination of cell phones and printouts, which can direct investigations to unmask the murderer ofDaniele De Santis, 33, soccer referee, e Eleonora Manta, 30 years old, graduated in Law, a few months ago employee of INPS in Brindisi. Andrea is certainly the name of one of the witnesses who saw the murderer go away, and lives on the same landing of the apartment owned by Daniele in which the two young men killed were seen. But it could also be the name of the killer.

The quarrel on the stairs
in any case, the name that Eleonora screamed as her executioner finished her with stabs in the belly. The victims and the murderer probably went up together in the apartment on the second floor of via Montello – not far from the central station – and here, after a fierce quarrel that alarmed the condominiums due to the crash of broken glass and the screams of the three, the murderer killed Eleonora first and then Daniele. However, those who were chatting in the street around 9.30pm on Monday say they didn’t notice anything. Only ten condominiums and the video surveillance cameras located in that street will be able to add other elements useful for the reconstruction of a double murder so far hanging from a yellow backpack.
