Learn more about the Single Student ID

From the Secretariat of Transit and Transportation of San Juan it was announced that there will be a Single Educational Credential in transportation for students and teachers who use RedTulum to travel to their educational institutions. The objective of the new implementation is to simplify the mode of operation of the educational credential and improve the service by allowing children and young people to access discounts with any RedTulum line.

In this sense, the head of Transit, Jorge Armendariz, stressed that “before the children of most of the departments had to process a second credential to get to a downtown school, now with just one they can access all the lines.”

Students who wish to obtain the credential must submit the following requirements to the bus company corresponding to the line that leads to the school:

• Regular student certificate with course schedules
• Updated passport photo
• Original ID and photocopy

For their part, teachers have to present the following requirements:

• Updated school certificate
• Paycheck
• Schedules
• DAYS
• passport photo

Students who wear overalls or uniform pay the school ticket, it is not necessary to use the Unique Educational Credential.

The university credential is still valid to obtain the school ticket.
