Leaker shares release date, story details and much more

Grab your favorite salt shaker. An alleged load of GTA 6 details has been leaked again. A massive leak, as the American gaming press so beautifully calls it.

The information comes from a Redditor. He or she claimed to be close to the development of the game, and therefore to know a lot about GTA VI. Other Redditors could use the mysterious leaker asking questions. The post has since been removed, but fortunately other users have managed to save the biggest claims quickly.

GTA 6: on to 2023

However, let it be clear that they are claims. Rumors. Until Rockstar Games reveals more information about GTA 6, we have no way of verifying the leaker is a fantasist or really knows more. It is clear that his claims are consistent with earlier rumors. But, does that make his comments more credible or unbelievable?

First, he or she claims that GTA 6 will be released in October 2023. In other words, fans still have to wait almost three years for the successor to GTA 5. The leaker to report that the game is chasing Red Dead Redemption 2 in terms of story structure. In other words, a story divided into several chapters.

1970s

The first two of those chapters are set in the late 1970s, in a fictional version of Miami. Then gamers play further in the present. That immediately makes these rumors a lot more remarkable. Such an approach would require Rockstar to create two different worlds, with its own weapons, radio stations and vehicles.

According to the leaker however, that is the direction GTA 6 is heading. That’s why Rockstar would have opted for a smaller world than Red Dead Redemption 2, but more densely populated and generally a lot better filled. Different time periods should then provide more variety.

Realistic driving behavior?

In addition, the Redditor claims that the storyline of GTA VI will last about sixty hours. He or she also passes the recently surfaced patents of GTA 6, which shows that NPCs will show a lot more realistic driving behavior. The leaker claims that other drivers may become irritated, for example, or drive more aggressively if they are late for work.

Anyway, again: is the leaker that makes it extra credible, or does the Redditor simply build further on what has already been leaked with fantasy?

The Redditor also claims that you can adjust your body proportions in GTA 6, just like in San Adreas, although the system will be less drastic.
