Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Z Flip folding smartphone in 2020. Unlike the Galaxy Fold, the Galaxy Z Flip’s folding mechanism is done from top to bottom, or resembles a clamshell phone.
Samsung It has also prepared a successor to the Galaxy Z Flip, namely the Galaxy Z Flip 3. This is thought to be in line with the name Galaxy Z Fold 3 which will also be released next year. The news was broadcast by an accomplished Vietnamese whistleblower on Twitter, @ chunvn8888.
Not only the name and time of its launch, it also divulged a few specifications of the folding device, especially the details on the screen.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 will have a main screen that is 6.9 inches in diameter, 0.2 inches larger than its predecessor (6.7 inches).
Even though it is wider, the bezel around the foldable cellphone screen is said to be thinner, accompanied by a punch hole camera hole whose size is claimed to be smaller.
The main screen of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 will also have a refresh rate of 120 Hz, in contrast to its predecessor, which has a refresh rate of 60 Hz.
In addition, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 screen has a stronger durability and does not leave creases.
Samsung will embed the Galaxy Z Flip 3 on a new, more robust, ultra-thin glass (UTG) panel.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 will use a secondary screen that is 2 to 3 times larger than the previous generation, or in the range of 2.2 to 3.3 inches.
Chun also revealed that the Galaxy Z Flip 3 has a 3,900 mAh battery. If true, the battery capacity is actually bigger than its predecessor, which has a capacity of 3,300 mAh.
Unfortunately, Chun did not reveal the details of other specifications, such as camera, RAM, storage media, chipset, and so on.
However, if you refer to the rumors that have circulated before, the Exynos 2100 chipset that Samsung is said to be developing is said to be the “brain” to boost the performance of the Galaxy Z Flip 3, as compiled by Gizmochina.
