The Galaxy S series is generally launched in February, right or close to the annual Mobile World Congress exhibition which will take place at the end of February.
The leak this time can be said to be quite interesting. The reason is, the design of the Galaxy S22 & S22 Plus is rumored to look identical. While the render photos that can be found on the MySmartPrice site this time seem to show the Galaxy Note20 Ultra with a camera setup that looks like the Galaxy A32. Last Galaxy Note Similar Design
Before discussing the specifications, let’s first discuss the design in the photo above. As previously stated, the design of the Galaxy S22 Ultra will be the most different from the other two series. There will be four color options that buyers can choose from later, namely black, white, bronze and green.
The bronze color itself makes it even more like the Galaxy Note20 Ultra. Especially with the corners that are made very firm, the sides of the curved rear and front bodies, plus a stylus next to it which indicates that it is no longer optional. Will there be an integrated slot to store it in the body? There is no further information regarding this matter.
When compared to the last Note series, the difference is in the design of the camera module. Instead of having a prominent module, this time the main and other sensors look more integrated. From the side, it looks like a bulge that is not too massive. Even though the dimensions themselves are still more or less the same as last year’s Galaxy S21 Ultra.
In addition to sharing the render design, Ishan Agarwal, who is famous for his accurate leaks, also shared info regarding the specifications of the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The dimensions of the body itself are 163.3 x 77.9 x 8.9 mm, which means it is slightly shorter, slightly wider and has exactly the same thickness as the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The weight? 228 grams, aka only 1 gram different.
Galaxy S22 Ultra Specifications
If the information is correct and the stylus can be inserted into the body, it would be a plus for Samsung. The stylus itself is rumored to have lower latency at 2.8ms. While the dimensions of the screen are still the same, namely 6.8 inches with a resolution of 1440p, AMOLED panels and refresh rates up to 120Hz.
A punch-hole in front is prepared for the 40MP camera sensor. Meanwhile, the panel supports the new LTPO technology which can adjust the refresh rate more precisely for power efficiency. The screen itself will be protected by Gorilla Glass Victus +. Never heard of it? Yes, because Corning has not officially released screen protection with this plus one affix.
The specifications of the Galaxy S22 Ultra in the camera sector are also quite special. The 108MP main sensor that it carries will use Super Clear Lens technology. While the other four sensors are 12MP ultra wide-angle, and two 10MP sensors for 3x & 10x optical zoom respectively. Will be able to record video in 12-bit HDR format and auto frame rate support.
