The second journey of the League Cup group stage ended with a zero draw between Sp. Braga and P. Ferreira (0-0), for Group C. The beavers thus ended their participation in the competition.
At this point, there is still a game to play and three teams emerge with no chance of continuity in the competition: FC Porto (Group D), Sp. Covilhã (Group A) and Paços de Ferreira (Group C).
In Group A, V. Guimarães leads with four points but does not play in the last round, while Benfica – one point – visits Sp. Covilhã. In case of embodied triumph, the number of goals will be decisive.
Famalicão and Sporting have three points in Group B and everything depends on the lions, who play in Penafiel on the third round. If they score, move on.
In Group B, Boavista-Sp. Braga will decide everything. Chessmen score three points, while arsenalists only add one and need a triumph.
Finally, qualification in Group D will be played between Santa Clara and Rio Ave. The Azores team leads with four points and already two games played. The Vila do Conde team needs to beat FC Porto at Estádio do Dragão to have a chance of qualifying, depending on the number of goals scored and conceded.
