Necessary or not? Opinions about the gasoline leaf blower differ.

“The comeback of leaf raking” calls for a move from left-green circles in the municipal council, which has met with approval well beyond the middle. The goal: The leaves should be faired again by hand and no longer blown together with noisy petrol leaf blowers. As an alternative, the local councils propose that only electric leaf blowers be used.
The majority of the municipal council is aiming for several goals: It’s about noise, about reducing CO₂ emissions, but also about the biodiversity of the bottom fauna, which is damaged by violent blowing. And it is also about “transporting fine dust, parasites, mold and viruses”. It must be assumed that it has a “harmful effect on health”, both for the urban green people and for people who are in the vicinity. To prove this, the postulate refers to a study by an Austrian university.
