Lionel Messi have a great chance of winning Ballon d’Or 2023 after successfully lifting the trophy World Cup 2022 with Argentina.
Messi has impressed throughout the 2022 World Cup with a record seven goals and three assists in a total of seven matches in Qatar.
Talksport said: Messi is now the first favorite to win the award. Messi’s closest competitor this time is no longer Cristiano Ronaldo.
Messi is expected to be in tough competition with Kylian Mbappe, who has also made a stunning appearance for France. Mbappe himself scored a hat-trick in the final against Argentina to force the score to 3-3.
Unfortunately, Mbappé’s stylish looks didn’t come with sweet results. Les Bleus had to go home empty-handed after losing 2-4 on penalties to Argentina.
