A motorist crashed into several people on Friday afternoon in a Manhattan neighborhood where a protest by “Black Lives Matter” activists was taking place, police and local media reported, without specifying whether it was an accident or of a voluntary act.
Several people were injured by the vehicle and were transported to different hospitals in the metropolis, New York police told AFP. The driver of the vehicle was arrested on the spot, according to the same source. “The injuries do not appear to be life threatening” for the victims, the police spokesman said.
