Le Matin – Racing Casablanca wins in Marrakech and temporarily climbs to 2nd place

The Botola D2 resumed this Sunday after a four-month hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Six matches were scheduled for this 23rd day. And the big beneficiary is the Racing de Casablanca, which won in Marrakech against Kawkab (1-2), and temporarily goes back to 2nd place with 38 points. The leader Chabab of Mohammedia was held in check on his Bachir ground by Ittihad Khemisser (2-2).

Racing Casablanca provisionally climbed to 2nd place in Botola D2, behind Chabab Mohammedia, by winning in Marrakech against Kawkab (2-1) on the occasion of the 23rd day played this Sunday after a long interruption in cause of coronavirus. Kawkab remains 14th with 24 points, three more than Union Sidi Kacem, the first relegation club (21 points), which drew (0-0) against Youth Ben Guerir (0-0).

Leader Chabab Mohammedia did the bad thing by settling for a draw (0-0) on his home ground Bachir. Mohamed Amine Benhachem’s men let slip two precious points in the race to climb. The Maghreb of Fez which has one game less could in case of victory join Le Chabab in first place. In the other matches, Widad Fès won far from his bases over Chabab Al Hoceima (1-0) and Olympic Dcheira hit Chabab Khenifra (4-1).
