Lebanese artists praised HM King Mohammed VI’s initiative to send emergency humanitarian and medical aid to the Lebanese people following the explosions that rocked the port of the capital Beirut on August 4. The Lebanese artists expressed, during a visit to the military field hospital deployed on High Instructions of HM the King to provide emergency care to the population victim of this tragedy, their gratitude and esteem for this noble gesture of Sovereign and His mobilization to provide assistance to Lebanon, through the establishment of an airlift to deliver humanitarian and emergency medical aid, the goal being to relieve and heal the wounds of the Lebanese.

In this regard, the artist Walid Taoufiq expressed, in a statement to the MAP, his thanks and his deep and sincere gratitude to HM the King and to Morocco, government and people, for this solidarity initiative which has contributed greatly to relieve the suffering of the Lebanese. And to add that Morocco was at the head of the countries which responded favorably to the call for help launched by the Lebanese authorities following this tragedy to support the Lebanese people, noting that the Moroccan initiative is a model to follow in terms of values ​​of human solidarity.

For his part, the Lebanese comedian Dabouz Dabouz indicated, in a similar statement, that the humanitarian and solidarity initiative of Morocco reflects the Sovereign’s solidarity with Lebanon and once again reaffirms the human sense and solidarity of Morocco. which assisted the victims of the explosions. The aid and medical services provided by the military field hospital will have a positive impact on the Lebanese who suffer from the lack of health infrastructure destroyed by the explosions, he noted.

For his part, the artist Khalil Abou Obeid expressed his deep gratitude to HM the King for this noble initiative which will relieve the Lebanese after so much destruction caused by the explosions. The medical aid sent by Morocco to provide assistance to the population of Beirut is highly appreciated by Lebanon, he added, recalling the solid ties uniting the Lebanese and Moroccan peoples.

Many Lebanese artists, including Najwa Karam, Assi Al Hillani, Melhem Zeine, Wissam Al Amir and Wael Jassar, expressed their gratitude and thanks to HM the King for this initiative of solidarity towards the Lebanese people. They expressed their consideration of the Moroccan position and generosity towards Lebanon, highly saluting the efforts made by Morocco under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI to rescue the Lebanese people following the explosions. This visit took place in the presence of the Moroccan Ambassador to Lebanon M’hamed Grine and a number of Moroccan and Lebanese military executives alongside civil society actors and local media. Several Lebanese artists have launched hashtags on social networks under the title “Thank you HM King Mohammed VI”, in recognition of the Moroccan initiative.

HM King Mohammed VI had given His High Instructions for sending emergency medical and humanitarian aid to the Lebanese Republic. Urgent Moroccan humanitarian and medical aid intended for Lebanon arrived on the 7th instant at Beirut international airport. The Sovereign had also given His High Instructions for the dispatch and deployment in Beirut of a military field hospital in order to provide emergency medical care to the populations injured in this incident. At least 178 people were killed in the deadly explosion in the port of the Lebanese capital, while dozens more are missing.
