Le Matin – Kaspersky launches Integrated Endpoint Security, the new EDR solution for SMEs

Kaspersky unveils Integrated Endpoint Security, a new approach dedicated to SMEs for its Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business solution which now includes a cloud management console and the Kaspersky EDR Optimum and Kaspersky Sandbox tools.

This new incident protection, detection and response (EDR) solution is now suitable for companies with limited cybersecurity expertise and resources. With this new integrated solution, IT security specialists benefit from instant visibility and relevant information about incidents, as well as from means of automatic investigation and reaction.

“The world of technology, and especially the world of cybersecurity, is constantly evolving, so that businesses face more challenges while using the same resources. They therefore need a solution that will help them manage each situation efficiently with automated detection and response capabilities Kaspersky’s new Integrated Endpoint Security solution enables businesses to gain on both levels by providing them with the tools they need to explore and remedy security incidents “said Dmitry Aleshin, vice president, product marketing for Kaspersky.

The protection of terminals (servers, workstations, mobile phones and other equipment) offered by Kaspersky now benefits from the new Kaspersky EDR Optimum solution. This solution is specially designed for companies wishing to have a panoramic view of incidents, as well as the possibility of responding to them without weighing on the workload of their teams or requiring the increase of their resources.

The Kaspersky EDR Optimum solution provides instant visibility on the threats detected by Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business and indicates the context of all the malicious activities identified: enriched alert data and visualization of the attack propagation path.

When a suspicious file that cannot be definitively classified as “malicious” is detected, Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business transmits it to Kaspersky Sandbox, which automatically executes the file “at risk” in an isolated environment where it will reveal its behavior or its malicious nature. The verdict pronounced by Kaspersky Sandbox can then be enriched by the analysis of the file executed by Kaspersky EDR Optimum.

To deal with the threat, Kaspersky EDR Optimum has a rich set of measures, including the isolation of devices potentially infected with malware, or the quarantine of suspicious files. To prevent the risk of spreading to other machines, IT security specialists can create compromise flags in a few clicks instead of writing manually and scheduling an automatic scan responsible for detecting the malicious object concerned on different terminals. In addition, this solution allows the automated integration of third-party IoC indicators and to launch an analysis in order to identify the affected terminals.

All of these functions allow you to manage security incidents centrally in order to quickly react to and block critical threats, while minimizing the potentially negative consequences for the company.
