Kozhikode: LDF-UDF advisers and party workers clashed in society. Four LDF advisers and one UDF worker were injured.
LDF workers also attacked journalists who came to cover the board meeting. Mathrubhumi cameraman Jitesh, Kerala Vision cameraman Wasim Ahmed and journalist Riaz were attacked.
The problems started when the emergency resolution was denied due to the loss of money from the company account. The meeting was adjourned after agendas were approved as opposition members rumbled on.
15 protesting UDF councilors were suspended for one day. The mayor said that even though he stood up from his seat, he didn’t stop the protest and it was a violation of the law and that’s why he was suspended.
