TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Bharada E alias Bhayangkara Dua Richard Eliezer Pudihang Lumiu is being held in the detention center of the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim). Bharada E’s lawyer, Muhammad Burhanuddin, said his client was placed in a separate cell.
“Yeah, can’t be put together, specifically. The process is also strict, there are teams that are accompanied everywhere,” he said at the Criminal Investigation Department, Sunday, August 7, 2022.
Burhanuddin said that guarding Bharada E’s cell was closely monitored by officers. He and Deolipa Yumara, who is also a lawyer, are always accompanied by officers when visiting their clients.
“Super tight security too. We go up and down and have been accompanied too,” he said.
He revealed that Bharada E was willing to become justice collaborator and will ask for protection from the Witness and Victim Institution (LPSK). He believes his client’s position has key information to reveal the death Brigadier J alias Nofriansyah Joshua Hutabarat.
Previously, said Burhanuddin, his client’s statements were submitted in different ways before changing lawyers. But yesterday he claimed to have calmed down in this matter and the public has understood the flow of the case now.
According to Deolipa Yumara, one of Bharada E’s lawyers, his client also doesn’t want to be alone and blamed for this case. “We dared to defend him because we knew he might tell the truth,” he said on the same occasion.
Deolipa said that the aide to the Inspector General Ferdy Sambo it had started to tell a lot of things that he had actually experienced. Therefore, the client’s condition is considered as a key information that can be a bright spot.
The team of lawyers also declined to comment regarding the irregularities of the police version of the story that was first submitted. They claim to only want to focus on what is currently being faced and not the previous time.
