Following a DNA analysis, a new lead emerges concerning a murder perpetrated in 1987. It is that of Clara Spanger, raped and strangled according to a procedure similar to that of four other murders committed by Brian Traymor, a paraplegic jailed for three months in Miami for possession of cocaine. Coming to bring him back to New York, Benson and Amaro run into an old acquaintance of Benson, FBI agent Dana Lewis. She is keen to follow the investigation closely. But Brian stubbornly denies this fifth murder. And according to Kira’s parents and roommate, she would never have agreed to follow a stranger to a bar. However, the DNA found on the victim clearly incriminates Brian.
