“Latvia vs Slovenia: A Look at their Past World Championship Meetings”

Slovenia has experienced only losses so far – 0:7 against Switzerland, 2:5 against Canada, 0:1 against Norway and 2:6 against the Czech Republic, however, in the match against the Czechs, the lead was lost only in the third period.

The national teams of Latvia and Slovenia have met four times in the world championships, three of which were won by Latvia. The last meeting was 12 years ago, when the Slovenians won 5:2.

On Saturday, Latvia will meet Kazakhstan, and in the final group game, they will face Switzerland on Tuesday.

With 12 points in four games, Switzerland takes the first place in the group, Canada has 11 points, the Czech Republic has ten points, and Latvia is fourth with five points. Slovakia and Norway are behind the home team with four points, Kazakhstan has scored two points, and Slovenia has no points in four matches.
