Latvia protested over indecent behavior of Russian diplomat

The Latvian Foreign Ministry protested to Russia over the behavior of the military attaché of the Russian embassy Ruslan Ushakov, who threw a party at home in Riga and showed indecent gestures to neighbors. About it informs edition Delfi with reference to the press service of the Latvian ministry.

The incident occurred on March 27 in the midst of a lockdown introduced throughout Latvia due to the coronavirus pandemic. In one of the private houses in the south of Riga, in violation of the rules of epidemiological safety, a party was held with the participation of about 10 people, organized by Ushakov.

The neighbors, dissatisfied with the loud music, called the police, but after a short conversation with Ushakov, the police did not disperse the party and left. And Ushakov then showed his neighbors the middle fingers, which he managed to photograph in the photo.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia reminded that although the Vienna Convention provides certain privileges, however, any representative of the diplomatic service should behave with respect and comply with the legal norms of the host country.
