The Ministry of Health has updated the list of COVID-19 booster vaccines, to four combinations. AstraZeneca primary vaccine recipients can now receive a half dose of Pfizer’s COVID-19 booster vaccine.
Requirements for recipients of the COVID-19 booster vaccine are those who have received complete vaccinations or doses 1 and two, more than six months. At this time, the priority for receiving the booster vaccine is the elderly and vulnerable groups over 18 years old, such as people with immune disorders.
“Booster vaccination is a COVID-19 vaccination after a person has received a complete primary dose of vaccination aimed at maintaining the level of immunity and extending the period of protection,” said the Director General of Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Dr. Maxi Rein Rondonuwu in a written statement, Thursday (13/13). 1/2022).

Vaccine example Sinovac:
- Can be vaccinated with a half dose of AstraZeneca booster.
- You can get a half dose of the Pfizer booster vaccine.
AstraZeneca primary vaccine:
- Can be vaccinated with a half dose of Moderna booster.
- You can get a half dose of the Pfizer booster vaccine.
In Circular Letter Number HK.02.02/II/252/2022 regarding the COVID-19 Advanced Dose (Booster) Vaccination, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, prior to the implementation of the booster vaccination, screening was carried out first. The implementation of the COVID-19 booster vaccine includes:
- Public health center
- Government hospital
- Local government hospital
- Vaccination service post by the Provincial or District/City Health Office.
