America has extended for at least another week suspension of Janssen’s vaccine, in order to study the seven reported cases of clots among more than 6.8 million injections administered in the country. The company halted distribution in the European Union, to which it was supposed to deliver 55 million doses in the second quarter, and community authorities announced on Wednesday the advance of 50 million vials initially planned for the fourth quarter. The epidemic continues its vertiginous advance in India, which has once again marked the umpteenth maximum of daily infections in recent weeks: 200,739 positives, double than ten days ago. In Spain, the autonomous communities have already administered 11.4 million vaccines. The Ministry of Health notified 10,474 new infections and 131 deaths yesterday. The incidence rises to 201 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
