In the midst of this wait, the latest leak from the owner of a Weibo account named Kang said that Apple will launch four variants, namely the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Not only that, Apple will also introduce speaker new HomePod smart mini and new ‘MagSafe’ wireless charger.
Kang has a reliable track record and accurately predicted some of the things that were delivered at the Apple event last month.
Launching The Verge, Kang revealed that all variants of the iPhone 12 are supported by 5G, including mmWave. The Super Retina XDR display that was previously exclusive to the iPhone 11 Pro model looks set to be available across the entire iPhone 12 lineup.
The cellphone will also use ceramic material so that it looks tougher and more resistant to falling. All variants of the iPhone 12 are reportedly able to make movies in the Dolby Vision HDR standard.
In more detail, Kang reports that the iPhone 12 mini will have a 5.4-inch screen and the selling price starts at US $ 699 or Rp.10.2 million (exchange rate Rp.14,685). It will be available in black, white, red, blue, and green, as well as storage options from 64GB to 256GB.
Kang claims the iPhone 12 mini will come with dual cameras, that is wide-angle and ultrawide.
Furthermore, the iPhone 12 will have a 6.1-inch screen and will sell from US $ 799 or Rp.11.7 million. It also has the same color options, storage capacity and camera as the iPhone 12 mini.
Launching the GSM Arena, Kang estimates that the iPhone 12 Pro, which has a 6.1-inch screen, will be priced starting at US $ 999 or Rp.14.6 million. It will come in gold, silver, graphite and blue colors, and storage will range from 128GB to 512GB.
Next to the camera wide-angle and ultra wide, Kang said the Pro variant will have a telephoto camera with 4x optical zoom and LIDAR sensor for augmented reality.
The highest variant, the iPhone 12 Pro Max with a 6.7-inch screen, will be priced at an initial price of US $ 1,099 or Rp.16.1 million. Kang said the Pro Max will ship in gold, silver, graphite and blue colors, and storage from 128GB to 512GB.
Like the 12 Pro, the Pro Max has triple cameras and a LIDAR sensor, but its telephoto lens will reportedly offer 5x optical zoom.
Regarding the mini HomePod, Kang said it will be priced at US $ 99 or Rp1.4 million. Kang claims the smart speaker will be 3.3 inches tall and supported by the S5 processor found on the Apple Watch Series 5 and Apple Watch SE.
The new ‘MagSafe’ wireless charger is claimed to be compatible with the new iPhone. Apple previously used the MagSafe brand for a series of MacBook power cords that attach magnetically to laptops.
