Price of cooking oil at Alfamart and Indomaret today, Friday (20/5/2022), was observed to be quite stable and did not experience much change when compared to yesterday. However, on a number of brands cooking oil others have experienced price reductions due to discounts.
However, to this day, the price of cooking oil in the market appears to be quite high. For a 2 liter package, the average price is still in the range of IDR 45-50 thousand.
For information, the increase in the price of cooking oil occurred after the provision for the Highest Retail Price (HET) was revoked so that the price of packaged cooking oil now follows the market price.
Cooking oil HET is still regulated only in bulk with a benchmark of Rp. 14,000 per liter. Most of this type of cooking oil is sold in traditional markets.
The price of packaged cooking oil such as Tropical, Bimoli to Sania is different at Alfamart and Indomaret, depending on the brand and package size. There are 1 liter and 2 liter packages.
