Las Vegas-style casinos in Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas-Fort Worth?

TEXAS – One of the Most Powerful Companies in Las Vegas Casino & Entertainment Industry to Launch Multi-million Dollar Ad Campaign in the four largest markets in Texas for the purpose of bringing casinos to the state.

Las Vegas Sands Company to Begin Airing on Radio and Television Announcements to support active proposals in the Texas Legislature seeking to allow casinos to open in Texas.

Las Vegas Sands has shared plans to open casinos in the most populous metropolitan areas of Texas, including Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio and Austin.

The ads promote the message that “billions of dollars” that could be generated by casinos are leaking to other neighboring states that do allow gambling.

“This November, the Legislature may allow Texans to vote to build four world-class resorts and casinos, generating dollars for Texas,” says a narrator in one of the 30-second television commercials.

The Las Vegas Sands initiative has made little progress in the Legislature thus far. The Senate version has been referred to a committee, but has not been scheduled for a hearing.
