Analysts of the publication believe that the likely place for a new Russian attack is the western part of the Lugansk region in the area of Kremennaya and Liman – cities recaptured by Ukrainian troops during the counteroffensive last fall.
According to local officials and Western analysts, Russia has been gathering forces in this direction for several weeks.
As reported, according to intelligence, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the troops to seize the entire territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine before March.
In turn, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are already ready for a possible offensive by Russian troops in February.
