Seminar to Translate Compassion into Action for Those Facing ALS
TRENTO,ITALY – A new seminar,”Languages of Care,” launching October 18,2025,at the ITAS Forum in Trento, aims to bridge the gap between empathetic communication and tangible support for individuals and families navigating Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). The event, hosted by AISLA (the Italian ALS Association), will focus on transforming understanding into concrete action, fostering a stronger community around those impacted by the disease.
The seminar arrives at a critical juncture, as advancements in ALS research and care increasingly demand a holistic approach-one that recognizes the profound impact of both medical treatment and emotional wellbeing. ”Communicating means caring,” according to AISLA, and this event is designed to equip participants with the tools to meaningfully connect with patients and their loved ones, ultimately improving quality of life. The initiative seeks to empower attendees to move beyond simply acknowledging the challenges of ALS to actively contributing to a more supportive and responsive care network.
“Languages of Care” is open to the public and free to attend, with lunch provided. Schools are particularly encouraged to participate, with accommodations for a designated teacher accompanying students. The inaugural edition will prioritize in-person engagement, foregoing a livestream to maximize the impact of shared experience and direct interaction.
