He was returning from a visit to the mountain station. There were 11 people on board the vehicle. Rupesh (40), who was with them, fell into the ground while running away. The search for Rupesh is underway. After visiting the top station, the visitors returned to Munnar in three vehicles. The landslide unexpectedly fell on the vehicle that had passed earlier. Then the people who were in the vehicle got out and as they pushed the vehicle, the water came out again. According to people who were with him, he climbed into the vehicle to get his cell phone as the vehicle was being pushed.

The vehicle crashed 500 meters from the road. The Munnar police and fire brigade arrived at the scene and carried out rescue operations. Heavy rains hit the area on Saturday afternoon. On August 6, a landslide occurred on the road at a bend, 100 meters from the place where the landslide occurred in Pudukadi. As hundreds of vehicles passed on this road, stones and earth suddenly fell onto the road from the top of the hill. Traffic was completely blocked. Landslides also fell on the road in the west division of Ellapetti. Traffic from the upper station to Munnar was also halted.
