Chelsea manager Frank Lampard praised Hakim Ziyech on Saturday evening after the 4-1 victory over Sheffield United. The former Ajax player was of great value to ‘The Blues’ with two nice assists.
“Ziyech showed his best game against Sheffield,” a satisfied Lampard told the English media. “He has a lot of confidence and a certain arrogance, but a good arrogance. Ziyech will always keep trying to give those passes and assists.”
The 27-year-old midfielder was important after more than half an hour with an assist on Ben Chilwell, who was able to work in at the far post after a perfectly measured cross. Fifteen minutes before the end, Ziyech found Thiago Silva’s head from a free kick.
“Ziyech’s confidence and drive to be the most important player on the field is admirable. With his left leg on the right, he also brings something extra to us. We haven’t had that threat for a long time,” said Lampard.

‘He makes even more impression now’
Although Ziyech has found his place in the team, he did not have a smooth start to his period at Chelsea. The Moroccan international was injured in the knee in preparation and missed the first four league matches of the Londoners.
