Traditional baker Walter Laible (Winfried Wagner) returns prematurely from a spa stay in his home town of Schafferdingen. His wife Marga (Ulrike Barthruff) and his son Florian (Matthias Dietrich) tell their father that they had to sell the bakery and home due to pressing debts – to Walter’s competitor, the industrial baker Manfred Frisch (Simon Licht). Manfred seems to emerge victorious from the long-running baker’s dispute.
But the inevitable crash follows the soaring flight. In his darkest hour, however, Manfred receives an interesting piece of information that could bring him back into the game. He devises a clever plan to win back the family business.
