A traffic control by officers of the Lahr police station was a 20-year-old’s undoing yesterday at noon.
This was subjected to a personal and vehicle check at around 2:50 p.m. in Einsteinallee. Upon closer inspection of the young man, the law enforcement officers found that he had been behind the wheel of the car despite the current driving ban.
The police officers then prohibited him from continuing the journey and the vehicle key was seized.
The 41-year-old owner of the car was summoned to the control location and there took the keys to her Renault, which she gave to the 21-year-old without permission.
Both are now unpleasant mail from the public prosecutor’s office.
