The director of the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI), Dr. Héctor Castro, stated that the biologics that will be released are Moderna and AstraZeneca, the former currently has about 20,000 doses to expire and the latter close to 12,000.
“These doses are not in the regional warehouses, but they are in the thermos of the vaccination brigades traveling house to house,” said Castro. He affirmed that there are a large number of people who, despite being visited, refuse to receive the doses that help prevent the most serious forms of the disease.
He stressed that fewer and fewer people come to the vaccinations to be inoculated and that currently the average application of AstraZeneca vaccines is 6,000 per day.
