Mexico City. The Ministry of Health (Ssa) reported that the deaths confirmed by Covid-19 between Friday and Saturday rose by 1,214, for a cumulative of 173,771, while the estimated infections increased by 9,226, for a total of 2 million 183 thousand 993 cases.
In an afternoon conference at the National Palace, Alethse de la Torre Rosas, general director of the National Center for the Prevention and Control of HIV and AIDS, reported that the estimated active cases total 67,939, which represents 3 percent of the total contagion. I add that a reduction of 28 percent is maintained in the estimated cases compared to the previous epidemiological week.
Regarding the occupation of general beds, there was a decrease of 2 percentage points in the national rate, which stands at 43 percent. He explained that only Mexico City maintains an occupation of more than 70 percent in general beds, with 74 percent.
Regarding beds with a ventilator, the national occupancy rate is 42 percent, although in the capital of the country 70 percent of beds are occupied for critical patients, while four states maintain occupancy rates of 69 at 50 percent.
