Kremlin’s response to the potential arrest of Putin in Armenia

Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin’s speaker Dmitry Peskov commented on Armenia’s decision to ratify the Rome Statute.

This is reported Radio Liberty.

Journalists asked Peskov if the Russian authorities discussed the decision with the leadership of Armenia, which is part of the same military bloc with Russia.

«Not yet. We will discuss this with our partners,” Peskov said.

On Friday, March 24, the Constitutional Court of Armenia published a decision according to which the Rome Statute is in line with the Constitution of the country.

The decision is final and comes into force from the moment of its publication. Now, potentially, in the event of a visit to Armenia, the Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin will be arrested.

On March 17, the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued arrest warrants for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and Russian children’s ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova. They are accused of illegally deporting children from Ukraine to Russia from February 24, 2022.
