What do the god of war and the god of thunder have in common? Charlie Wen is the answer. The artist was a co-founder of the Visual Development department of Marvel Studios, and is also the creator of Kratos in God of War. Wen has been very active recently on social media and has posted one of Thor’s first concept arts on his personal Twitter and Instagram account.
Wen, whose creations and worlds can be seen in the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy saga, and Marvel’s League of Legends comics, participated in Thor’s design for his first film at UCM. “I had a meeting the next morning with Kevin Feige to discuss the design of a Marvel Cinematic Universe.“adds the artist.

“You can see how this first Thor image still had chunks left over from 6 years spent developing the fantastic look of God of War games. But even then, I really thought Celtic knots and interlocking shapes were working well, so I was super happy to be able to work those elements into Thor’s final designs for the movies.Wen concluded.
New from Marvel’s god of thunder, Thor: Love and Thunder, was slated to hit theaters on November 5, 2021, but Marvel Studios He has rescheduled all Phase 4 dates, leaving the new Thor movie for February 28, 2022.
