As reported, the second extraordinary meeting of members of the party “KPV LV”, originally called a competitor, today expressed distrust of the current board, headed by Zakatistov. 126 members voted against the board for expressing no confidence, but there were 56 against. Today’s meeting of members was convened by the board chaired by Zakatistov itself.

At the same time, a new board of “KPV LV” was elected at the meeting. At a meeting of members organized by other members on December 6, which the board chaired by Zakatistova called an attempt at raiding, a new board was also elected, of which three members were also in the board approved on Saturday. It is not yet known how the situation with the election of two boards with different composition will be resolved.

Rolands Millers has been elected Chairman of the Board at both meetings, and Ralfs Nemiro, Ēriks Pucens, Ieva Krapāne, Ramona Petraviča, Toms Andersons, Māris Možvillo, Raimonds Nipers and Mārtiņš Bremze have also been elected to the new Board today. Consequently, five people from the board approved in the spring and three people from the board elected on December 6 have been elected to the board.

Given the distribution of the votes cast, it is not ruled out that individual members of the board may have received a sufficient number of votes to be considered elected.

Today, there was also a vote to exclude Zakatistov from the party, in which 95 members voted for it, but against 94, a representative of the voting platform “lemejs.lv” said. Although it was later unclear whether the decision had enough votes, Zakatistov confirmed to LETA that the decision meant that he had been expelled from the party.

Zakatistovs has announced his resignation from the position of the chairman of the Saeima faction of “KPV LV” and resigns from the faction.

It has already been reported that the UR has received the decisions of the December 6 meeting and the authority will have to decide whether or not to register them as valid. UR also points out that if the parties differ in their opinions on the actual circumstances of the situation, it is possible to resolve it in court without the mediation of the institution.
