KPN makes Videoland app only available on new receivers – IT Pro – News

KPN is in the process of bringing the Videoland app to users’ TV receivers, but only Arris and Arcadyan receivers are eligible. Users with the older ZTE and Motorola receivers will not get the Videoland Plus app.

For the time being, a limited group of testers will receive the app for Videoland and if no problems arise with that group of customers, KPN will gradually bring the app to more users. This must be done on December 2 and 7. Which reports KPN on his forum. The app replaces Videoland.com and works via KPN’s TV receivers.

However, not every receiver is suitable. KPN reports that the app only becomes available on the Arris 5202 and 2952 and the Arcadyan HMB2260. Anyone who still has a ZTE 8001 or Motorola 1853 should therefore stick to Videoland.com. According to the company, customers who purchased Videoland via KPN had received a message that they could exchange their receiver. If you nevertheless continue to watch Videoland in the old way, you will eventually lose the offer of new videos and functionality such as the option to order.

The app comes to the recipients with update HTML 4.132.216. Users can find these via channel 204 and then the red button and via ‘Apps on TV’ and ‘Films/Series’ in the menu.
