KPN does not reverse the forcing of hdr in TV receiver – Image and sound – News

Yes, we are there …
A while ago I already indicated that I thought that the overall experience of television is being increasingly “broken”. A while ago, Telfort (from KPN) announced that the DVB-C signal would be replaced. Result: I cannot tap “unlimited” channels. As “goedmakertje” I now have a second receiver for a year and after that I can chromecast through a mobile app.
Switching channels takes a few seconds, while we have had 15/20 digital television for a year.

Now KPN is also going to mess around with the image. In itself good that HDR can be implemented, but switch it on, provide information and then let the user switch it off if they want. Not everyone has an HDR screen or is waiting for it. The HDR implementation in Windows is also not ok: as soon as I switch it on, the displayed colors change. Nice and handy with edited photos.

In the meantime, I am quite done with the providers. The last 5 to 10 years I am not satisfied. I have few demands in the field of television. If I lived alone, I would not have a subscription to purchase television. What I find important: a cheap, honest and reliable service.

Inexpensive, there is room for discussion, but for years I have been spending around € 50 for everything in one (TV, telephone, internet), the stability used to be jerk (UPC), nowadays good. Only now are more and more ways of earning more, without better meeting the demands of the consumer.

I think that as soon as Freedom Internet can offer everything in one, I will switch. Then expensive, but I have more confidence (or less distrust) than what the major providers now deliver.
