KPK Ransack Villa Nurhadi, Sita Dozens of Luxury Cars to Motor Gede

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Corruption Eradication Commission investigators (NCP) searched the villa belonging to the suspect, the former Secretary of the Supreme Court (MA) Nurhadi (NHD) in Gadog, Bogor Regency, West Java, to confiscate dozens of luxury vehicles that had previously been secured during a search in March 2020.

“A number of motorized vehicles were confiscated in the form of a dozen big motorbikes, luxury cars, and bicycles that were secured by KPK investigators while conducting a search some time ago, “said Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri in his statement in Jakarta, Friday, August 7, 2020.

The confiscation was carried out in the investigation of a bribery and gratuity case related to the case at the Supreme Court in 2011-2016 that ensnared Nurhadi.

“This includes the confiscation of land and building assets that are suspected of having ownership links with the suspect Nurhadi,” said Ali.

Previously, on March 9, KPK investigators sealed four luxury cars and a dozen large motorbikes that were parked in the warehouse when they searched Nurhadi’s villa.

The search was also part of the KPK’s effort at that time to find the suspect Nurhadi along with two other people who had been included in the status of the People Search List (DPO), namely Rezky Herbiyono (RHE), private or Nurhadi’s son-in-law and PT Multicon Indrajaya Terminal Director Hiendra Soenjoto ( HS).

The suspect Nurhadi and his son-in-law have been arrested by the KPK team at a house in Simprug, South Jakarta. Meanwhile, the suspect Hiendra is still a fugitive.

Regarding the luxurious assets owned by the suspect Nurhadi, the KPK has also found sufficient preliminary evidence to develop Nurhadi’s case towards the alleged Crime of Money Laundering (TPPU).

Nurhadi and Rezky were named as suspects who received bribes and gratuities worth Rp. 46 billion related to the handling of a number of cases in MA, while Hiendra was named a suspect in grafting bribes.
