KPK Names Regent of Kuansing Suspect, Detained for 20 Days

Corruption Eradication Commission (NCP) to appoint the Regent of Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing), Riau Province, Andi Putra as a suspect in the alleged bribery case for plantation permits. There is also one person from the private sector who has been named a suspect, namely SDR.

“The KPK then conducted an investigation and after finding sufficient preliminary evidence, the KPK raised the status to the investigation level and found suspects, namely AP Kuansing Regent and SDR, General Manager of PT AA,” said KPK Deputy Chair Lili Pintauli Siregar during a press conference, Tuesday (19/19). /10).

The KPK received information that there would be a handover of money today, Tuesday (18/10). The team then went to the location to carry out a hand arrest operation.

Andi Putra was charged with Article 12 letter a or letter b or Article 11 of the Law on the Eradication of Corruption. Meanwhile, SDR as the bribe giver was charged with Article 5 letter a or letter or Article 13 of the Corruption Eradication Law.

“For the purposes of the investigation, the two suspects will be detained for 20 days starting today. SDR is being held at the Pomdam Jaya Guntur Rutan, AP is being held at the Red and White House Rutan,” said Lili.

Previously, the KPK conducted a hand arrest operation. Eight people were arrested, including the Regent of Kuansing, Andi Putra.
