One of the interesting moments in the France-Poland match was when Kounde was caught on camera wearing a necklace in the 40th minute. The linesman then asked the Barcelona defender to remove the necklace.
Under Article Four of FIFA’s Game Regulations Laws, players are prohibited from using items or items that may harm opposing players, including jewellery.
Kounde’s actions angered Deschamps. This is because Kounde could have received a yellow card for wearing a necklace in France’s loss to England in the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup.

Luckily Kounde didn’t receive a yellow card from the referee and was able to play in the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup.
