Was Slovácko’s victory deserved?

Probably yes. It was better in gameplay and more emphatic in personal fights. It also created more chances. We didn’t do well in the first half, even though it was goalless. Fortunately, the excellent goalkeeper Reichl kept us with great saves. On the other hand, I have to praise my players for the game in a weakened state. We even hit the stick. In the end, we conceded the only goal at a time when the pressure of the home team, who poured one center after another into our penalty area, was at its peak. But until the end we were hoping for at least a draw.

Are you angry with young Gabriel for his exclusion?

Never. After all, he became a certain victim. I have information that during his intervention there was only a hint of an elbow foul. In my opinion, he received the second yellow card quite callously. So I’m not mad at him.

Why is it that in the last two league matches you beat the Slavists, but you usually don’t do too well against the Slovácko players?

Indeed, it is an opponent against whom we are usually at a disadvantage. We have respect for him. In Uherské Hradiště, the guests are not playing well at all. The spectators are pushing their team forward here. The match showed us that we still have a lot to improve. For example, passing accuracy. We messed up a lot of balls.

Slovácko spared some footballers for the rematch of the Europa League qualification against Fenerbahce Istanbul. Did you see it as a better chance to win something in Hradiště?

Not exactly. After all, the players who jumped in instead of them were rested and wanted to prove that they belong in the starting line-up. We hit about ninety percent of the opponent’s line-up.
