Its chairman“Kostadin Kostadinov told journalists in the National Assembly on the occasion of Russia’s request for NATO to withdraw its forces from Bulgaria and Romania.
According to him, the Bulgarian position should be for de-escalation of the conflict. “Unfortunately, what is being noticed is that the tension is coming from NATO,” he said.
“In the last 20 days, there have been requests that the Russians will almost invade Ukraine, and on the other hand, it is explained every day that it will not happen and it is impossible for it to happen. Nevertheless, tensions are rising,” Kostadinov said.
According to him, there should be no extreme statements between Russia and the United States, and our voice should be heard. “Currently in Bulgaria we behave as if we are a territory where someone else is playing their geopolitical moves. At the moment it is not clear what our voice is,” Kostadinov added.
