Comedian McDanny become the focus of social media users. It is considered to have insulted Habib Rizieq Shihab in a video circulating widely in the virtual world.
The video shows McDanny dancing next to the DJ at an event. He then issued a number of jokes accompanied by music from the DJ.
“Drinking beer at Root’s is halal. It’s more halal than meth,” joked McDanny in the video quoted on Sunday (17/10).
“And thank you really for girls who wear headscarves but you’re really fun, we’ll meet in hell,” continued McDanny.
McDanny then delivered a joke that was considered to have insulted the leadership of Habib Rizieq Front Pembela Islam (FPI).
“F**k Habib Rizieq, if there’s a police officer, I’ll be hit,” McDanny said while laughing.
McDanny’s remarks apparently offended a number of Habib Rizieq’s supporters. Even hashtags #CatchMcDanny immediately became a trending topic on Twitter. Even many netizens mentioned about McDanny who had been arrested for drug cases.
“I don’t want to upload the video. See for yourself… not only his insults to Habibana, but also playing with Hell & the halal and haram of khomar really disturbs the peace of religious life. Btw, why are so many haters of Habibana drunks & drug users? ?,” wrote @Hilmi28.
“Comedian who insults Habib Rizieq, apparently has been arrested in a drug case,” wrote @maspiyuaja.
“@Mcd4nny Bacot is rubbish !! Your insult to IBHRS will not diminish his glory before ALLAH SWT and will not diminish our love for him. !!,” wrote @Stevaniehuangg.
