She played in “The Hunger Games” and “Law & Order”, but she was best known for her role in “Sex and the City”. Now actress Lynn Cohen has died at the age of 86.
“Sex and the City” star Lynn Cohen is dead. A spokesman for US actress “The Wrap” confirmed that she died yesterday Friday at the age of 86. So far nothing is known about the exact cause of death.
According to the Hollywood Reporter magazine, Cohen was born in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1933, and made her first major appearance in 1983 in the film “Without a Trace”. Cohen was best known for her role as housekeeper Magda in the popular HBO series “Sex and the City”, which she joined in 2000. Set colleague Willie Garson, who played the character Stanford Blatch in the television series, mourned on Instagram for a “dear friend and great actress”. “Our Madga in 15 years of episodes and films. Rest in peace, my dear. Have a good trip,” continued the actor.
In addition to “Sex and the City”, Cohen also starred in the second part of the successful film series “The Hunger Games” alongside Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence. She has also played roles in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and Steven Spielberg’s film Munich.
