Liverpool’s coach Jurgen Klopp praised Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli after their clash in the League Cup semi-final. You Reds won the game 2-0, and face Chelsea in the final.
The Liverpool captain highlighted the performance of the “exceptional” striker at the Emirates Stadium. Despite the setback at home, Martinelli was one of Arsenal’s positive highlights, especially in the first half.
“Martinelli, by the way, everyone should remember that name. Exceptional player”, said Klopp after the English classic.
The Brazilian has played 20 games for Arsenal this season, with four goals scored (all in the Premier League) and three assists. The 20-year-old has a contract with the Gunners until mid-2024.
