Liverpool coach Juergen Klopp has confirmed that he is not worried despite his team receiving a new loss, specifically from Chelsea.
Liverpool received a new blow this week after defeating Watford (3-0) in the Premier League last Saturday night, then losing from Chelsea (2-0) in the FA Cup.
On the Chelsea match, Klopp came out in comments reported by the British newspaper “Mirror”: “The performance was not as bad as we appeared against Watford, but we made many mistakes.”
He added: “I do not have many arguments after the loss, we made small mistakes that made the difference in the game, but in the end I’m not worried.”
About Chelsea’s two goals against his team, Klopp commented: “We made two big mistakes about the goal.”
Klopp finished his speech on the future of Liverpool, stressing that his team has the opportunity to restore confidence despite the pressure of matches in the coming period.
Liverpool lost the chance to win the Golden League Cup after receiving the first loss this season at the Premier League at Watford.
The Champions League champion suffers recently at the level of results after receiving three defeats during the last four games at the hands of Atletico Madrid in the continental championship, Watford in the League and finally Chelsea in the Cup.
Next week will be decisive for Liverpool as the start will be through the matches of Bournemouth next Saturday in the league and then hosting Atletico Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League final.
Liverpool tops the Premier League standings with 79 points, 22 points behind Manchester City, which has a game in hand. As for a European, Liverpool need to visit Atletico Madrid twice without shaking their nets in order to rise to the next round after losing the away position (1-0).
