10.01.2021

Status: Sunday, January 10, 2021

Kleve district – Today, Sunday, January 10, 2021, at lunchtime, the district health office has a total of 5,112 laboratory-diagnosed corona infections since the beginning of the corona pandemic. That is 75 more than last Friday.

Of the 5,112 index cases, 234 are in Bedburg-Hau, 650 in Emmerich am Rhein, 645 in Geldern, 528 in Goch, 142 in Issum, 192 in Kalkar, 175 in Kerken, 450 in the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer, 803 in Kleve, 183 in Kranenburg , 405 in Rees, 79 in Rheurdt, 254 in Straelen, 88 in Uedem, 104 in Wachtendonk and 180 in Weeze.

It must also be assumed that these figures do not reflect the actual state of affairs, because on the one hand new cases are constantly being reported and, on the other hand, there is a high probability that numerous undiscovered infected people form an unreported number that is difficult to estimate.

Of the total of 5,112 confirmed corona cases, 4,721 are considered recovered; 99 people died. The 98th deceased comes from Kerken and is in his late 70s; the 99th person comes from Emmerich am Rhein and is in their mid-90s. The health department is not aware of any previous illnesses. There are currently 42 people in the hospital in the district.
